RemeCare website & smartphone application

For chronic patients, medication intake often leads to side effects which stand in the way of therapy adherence. To support them in their medication intake and follow-up of their general state of health, we developed a user-friendly app and a secured online communication platform: RemeCare.

Via RemeCare, patients’ abnormal values are traced and brought to the attention of the doctor in attendance faster than is the case today. Because of that, the treatment schedule can also be adjusted faster, resulting in: less complications, increased therapy adherence, fewer admissions into hospital and finally, improved quality of the patient’s life.
The patients whose parameters are within the range of normal values don’t have visit their doctor unnecessarily and can continue the prescribed treatment carefree.

Covid-19 patients discharged early thanks to telemonitoring

RemeCare supports the hospitals OLV and A.S.Z. in Aalst to let corona patients go home early and to prevent extra hospitalizations. AMTRA: Stronger sense of security thanks to digital follow-up of oncology patients at home

AMTRA is a pilot project launched by Minister of Health Maggie De Block to introduce mobile health applications in the Belgian health system. 184 cancer patients were followed in this project via the RemeCare smartphone app. AMTRA received the Health and Care Award in April 2018 from a jury of professionals. Four Belgian hospital centers were involved.

Heart failure Coach : pilot project mobile health to monitor patients with chronic heart failure at home.

In the HFCoach project, heart failure patients use the RemeCare app to improve their medication compliance, and to monitor their vital parameters and heart failure symptoms. The use of the app ensures that communication between healthcare providers and patients is greatly improved, among other things thanks to the support of skilled technology and nursing partners. With our technology the patients’ compliance increases and health changes are detected faster, so that fewer hospitalizations and emergency contacts are required.

ISO 13485

In September 2017, Remedus obtained the ISO 13485 certificate. This certificate applies to three different domains – the development of telemonitoring software, the providion of home health-care services for patient monitoring, training and support, and the storage and distribution of sterile or non-sterile medical devices. That is a rather unique situation, since most companies are usually only active in one of those three domains.

SmartBEAT: support program for elderly people suffering from chronic heart failure

The SmartBEAT project focuses on the support of elderly people who suffer from chronic heart failure (CHF), and their network of family and friends, caregivers, cardiologists and other health-care professionals. With the help of the innovative, integrated SmartBEAT solution, the patient can take better care of himself or herself, thanks to home measurements and real-time feedback for his or her health-care providers. The project aims at better health-care results and an improved quality of life.
